We understand that unexpected conflicts may arise. However, due to the immersive and cumulative nature of EMDR training, any missed time must be addressed to maintain eligibility for completion and certification.

If you miss more than 15 minutes of any lecture, practicum, or consultation session, you will be considered absent. Eligibility for makeup time is determined based on length of time missed and where you are in the training program. If you have a conflict please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can help you determine the right path forward at hello@iristrainingcollective.com

Make up Time Cost Part 1 or Part 2 (if eligible)

• Per EMDRIA policy, if you miss more than 15 minutes at any part of the basic training, you will be expected to make this time up at a later date in order to fulfill the requirements of completion. 
• Makeup time is paid by the hour and billed at a rate of $200/hour.
• Approval is required before this makeup time can be scheduled.
• Missing Part 1 Day 2 of practicum will require the participant to withdraw from basic training or transfer to another cohort (if available).

• Participants are required to complete all 10 hours of consultation to fulfill EMDR Basic Training requirements.
• If you miss a scheduled consultation session, you are responsible for completing the missed hours before the end of your one-year training period.
  • One-on-One Makeup Consultation: Makeup consultation may be completed individually with an approved IRIS consultant at a rate of $150 per hour ($300 for a 2-hour consultation).
  • Group Makeup Consultation: IRIS offers at least one group make-up session per quarter. The cost is $150 for a 2 hour group. Group makeup sessions may include up to eight participants, but require a 2 participant minimum to occur. If two participants are not schedued one week prior to their date, the group will be cancelled and participants given the option to move to a later date at no charge or pay an additional $150 for a one-on-one two hour session.

• As a reminder, all 10 consultation hours must be completed within 1 year of your Part 1 training per EMDRIA.

Transfer to a Later Date or Withdraw

If you will miss more than 1 hour at any part of the basic training or are missing a portion that is vital and cannot be rescheduled. Your options will be to transfer to a different training cohort or choose to withdraw from our program. 

• Changing Cohorts- there may be a $450 fee associated with changing your cohort.
• Withdrawal- if you choose to withdraw there is a required $450 fee. We will calculate the amount paid minus any training attended and required fee, then refund any additional money paid.

We understand that life happens and will do our best to support you in the event of an emergency, but please know that these policies are in place to uphold both EMDRIA’s standards and the quality of the training experience for all participants.
